Encouragement from the Saints

Our Lady and the Saints keep on encouraging us. Here are some favorite quotes to read and reread.

Encouragement from Mary

“Listen and let it penetrate your heart…do not be troubled or weighed down with grief. Do not fear any illness or vexation, anxiety or pain.  Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Am I not your fountain of life? Are you not in the folds of my mantle? In the crossing of my arms? Is there anything else you need?” -Our Lady of Guadalupe

Encouragement from other saints:

“Let nothing perturb you, nothing frighten you. All things pass. God does not change. Patience achieves everything.” -St. Theresa of Avila

“Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry.  Worry and agitation are useless.  God is merciful and will hear your prayer. ” -St. Padre Pio

God is closer to us than we are to ourselves.” -St. Augustine

“Do not be afraid of the demands of the love of Christ. On the contrary, be afraid of being fainthearted, of taking things lightly, of seeking your comfort, of being selfish. Be afraid of everything that seeks to silence the voice of Christ Who addresses each person.” – Pope John Paul II

Think of this: He is Peace. He wants to hear the smallest things from us. In our weakness we desire God by His grace, and He still desires us.
